At Tecmilenio, we strive to develop partnerships with top-tier international educational institutions to enhance employment opportunities for millions of people. That is why we have formed an alliance with Arizona State University (ASU), incorporating two certificates and one course from ASU’s Learning Enterprise into the Skilling Center Tecmilenio´s portfolio.

This partnership will boost the internationalization of our academic programs for the entire business community, promoting programs that close the gap between the current talent in the Mexican market and the skills most sought after by employers. Through innovative virtual models and strategic alliances with high-quality education providers, we aim to equip learners with the competencies needed to thrive.

Bruno Zepeda, rector of Tecmilenio, stated, “We are thrilled and confident that this partnership with the most innovative university in the United States, as recognized by U.S. News & World Report (2022-2023), will allow us to continue our mission of offering quality and accessible education. This initiative will enable our learners to acquire, enhance, and update the most in-demand skills in today’s job market”.

Another key goal of this alliance is to provide an international multicultural experience for ASU students by offering online courses at Tecmilenio.

According to María Anguiano, Executive Vice President of ASU Learning Enterprise, “The United States and Mexico not only share a border and cultural ties but also a common goal of strengthening our collaboration in education, research, and innovation.

As innovative higher education institutions, ASU and Tecmilenio understand the importance of preparing professionals through cutting-edge learning opportunities, especially as technology accelerates changes in job market trends”.

Víctor Ortiz, at Tecmilenio, emphasized that this agreement “is highly significant for us, as it not only aligns with our international expansion strategy but also adds greater value to our lifelong learners by providing a portfolio of high-level educational programs, now certified by a prestigious institution such as ASU”.

Marco Serrato, Executive Director of ASU Learning Enterprise, shared, “As someone born and raised in Mexico, I am thrilled about this initiative supporting the global expansion efforts of ASU Learning Enterprise.

Like other emerging economies, Mexico needs high-quality education tailored to local contexts and challenges. This alliance achieves precisely that: ASU exports world-class programs, which are then enriched by Tecmilenio’s expertise in the Mexican context—delivering the knowledge and skills that both individuals and organizations need.”

Educational Programs Focused on Skills Development and Enhancement

During the signing ceremony, Juan Arenas, Vice President of Open Education at Tecmilenio, announced that the Skilling Center Tecmilenio has selected the following two certificates and one course from ASU’s Learning Enterprise programs, all designed to enhance students’ project management skills:

  • Agile Project Management Certificate
  • Project Management Certificate
  • Managing Process

Meredyth Hendricks, Head of the Career Catalyst educational offering within ASU Learning Enterprise, commented, “Acquiring new skills and competencies is essential for learners to grow in today’s ever-changing job market.

Continuous professional development empowers individuals to build the soft and technical skills they need to achieve their goals. Our accessible programs transform learning into career success and inspire lifelong skill-building and professional growth. This is precisely what ASU and Tecmilenio are offering through this partnership.”

This agreement reinforces the commitment of Tecmilenio and Arizona State University to delivering high-quality, accessible education through a multicultural experience—ensuring the development of both technical skills for individual tasks and human competencies for collaborative work.
